Isabel G Perez gained her angel wings on Wednesday January 22, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus B Perez, her granddaughter, Kimberly R. Perez, her parents: Luis and Maria Galindo and three brothers.
Isabel was a cook all of her life. She could always be found in the kitchen where her fondest memories were made. She was an excellent cook and her expertise was always given when asked for. She was a very kind, loving and caring person. Her door was always open to anyone and everyone. She always made a friend where ever she went. She loved all kinds of music and loved to dance. She also enjoyed baking with her great grandchildren and loved the holidays where she made all her favorite foods and deserts. But her best past time was just spending quality time with her family. She was an extraordinarily kind, beautiful, caring person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was born and raised in Taft, Texas. A life long member of San Jose Catholic Church, a longtime employee of La Tienda Thriftway where she was a cook and enjoyed selling produce with her husband during the spring and summer months.
She is survived by her children Connie Rios and husband Ben from Lubbock, TX, Jerry Perez and wife Kathy of Artesia, NM, Rebecca Perez, Rudy Perez, and Richard Perez and wife Kathy, Ariane Perez and Diamond Perez all of Carlsbad, NM. She has 25 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. One brother Luis Galindo and wife Mary Lou, sisters Francis Galindo, Margarita Rios and husband Lionel all from Taft, TX, and sister Maria Louisa Landeros of Sinton, TX.
Pallbearers are JD Perez, Sevastian Campos, Dalton Perez, Dev’N Elizondo, Frank Vela and Patrick Renfro. Honorary pallbearers are all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 6 PM, Tuesday, January 28, 2020 followed by a vigil at 7 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10 AM, Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.
