Yvonne K. Saiz

Yvonne K. Saiz, 62, of Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on September 29, 2021, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Yvonne was born on December 10, 1958, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Becky Muñoz.

Visitation is scheduled from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Oasis Church. Funeral service is scheduled at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Oasis Church with Angie Weisner officiating. Interment will follow at the Carlsbad Cemetery in Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

For those that knew Yvonne, they knew of the love she has carried, the prayers she has prayed, and the words of encouragement and hope she has given to others. She has lived through trials, overcome many obstacles, and used her story to love and lift others up. Even in her long battle with sickness, she made sure to pray for others and took time to speak words of life to lift up a weary soul even as she herself was in pain. She has lived a life full of hope and full of incredible faith! She is the life of the party, and was known as Momma Yvonne. Yvonne has loved life, music, her grandchildren, church, and pouring out her love for God. Yvonne knew what it was like to go through difficult times. Even more so, she knew what it was like to have hope in the Lord, and she then made sure to share that hope with every single person she encountered. Her legacy of love will live on now that she has left this world to meet the ONE who she loved the most! The beautiful one, Jesus.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her mother, Becky Muñoz; daughter, Annette Saiz; granddaughter, Elona Saiz; and four siblings: Ernesto Hernandez, Lilly Zabala, Poncho Frank Zabala, and Rudy Munoz.

Yvonne is survived by her husband, Silverio Saiz of Carlsbad, NM; twelve children: Veronica Diero of Denver, CO, Richard Saiz (Tina) of Carlsbad, NM, Valerie Muñoz of Carlsbad, NM, Michael Hernandez (Kim) of Lyman, WY, Gabriel Rubio (Bethie) of Carlsbad, NM, Jennifer Arney ( Johnathan) of Carlsbad, NM, Patricia Morales of Carlsbad, NM, Nathaniel James Muñoz (Yilin) of Redding, CA, Jeniel Saiz (Brandon) of Carlsbad, NM, Kaylah Saiz of Dallas, TX, Jonathan Saiz of Carlsbad, NM, and Richanna Saiz of Carlsbad, NM; seventeen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; five siblings: Jimmy Muñoz (Ramona) of Chino, CA, Lucy Muñoz Yanez of Carlsbad, NM, Bobby Muñoz (Dora) of Carlsbad, NM, Eddie Carrasco (Imie) of Carlsbad, NM, and Ruben Muñoz (Laura) of Carlsbad, NM; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
