Xavier Sy Ybarra was born on February 6th, 2001 in Hobbs, N.M. to Donald J. Ybarra Jr. and Krystal Juntilla. Xavier was a graduate of Artesia High School where he played football, basketball and bowling, he also liked golfing as well as riding his motorcycle with friends and racing his cars. Xavier was a hardworking man as a lineman for KV Power Electric. He loved cookouts and gathering with his family and friends, talking and reminiscing about the old days. He loved traveling and no matter when you see him, he always was talking, laughing and had a big smile on his face. He was a loving, caring and joyful young man who will be greatly missed.
He is proceeded in death by his Grandpa Donald J. Ybarra Sr. and great grandparents Leonila Carrillo, Carlos Carillo, Enemenzio Alaniz Ybarra, Antonia Anaya Ybarra; great grandparents Crispin and Celestina“Chempa” Herrera and cousin Robert Ybarra.
Xavier passed away at UMC Hospital Sunday, November 27th, 2022 in Lubbock Tx. Xavier is survived by his father Donald J. Ybarra Jr. and wife (mom) Rosalinda Ybarra; Brother Donald J. Ybarra III and sisters; Elena Navarro and husband Marcos; Rhonia Olivas and Jacklin West; 1 nephew Damian Navarro; grandparents; Benji and Sylvia Trujillo aunts; Donna Garza and husband Cecilio and Debra Ybarra, Denise Ybarra, and Danielle Guajardo His mom Krystal Juntilla, aunts; Tiffany Juntilla and Angel Juntilla of Artesia; grandparents Joe and Anita. As well as numerous cousins, friend's aunts and uncles.
He will forever be in our hearts and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David W. Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
