Wanda D. Spencer

Wanda D. Spencer, 91, of E. Plum Lane, Carlsbad, NM, passed away September 12, 2022 at Goodlife Assisted Living.  Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Lakeview - Leo Sweet Community Center.

Wanda was born April 20, 1931 in Bay City, Michigan to Floyd and Louise (Hadynski) Lasch.  She graduated from Wayne State University and received her master’s from Pasadena College.  Wanda taught school in Lancaster, California and retired to Carlsbad in 1981.  She enjoyed volunteering at the Cat’s Meow.  Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Gerald Leeth and Robert Spencer, Sr.; stepson, Robert Spencer, Jr.; sister, Louise Kasprzak and brother, Theodore Lasch.

Survivors are her daughter, Karen Holland and husband, Stuart; stepdaughter, Lora Bentley; grandchildren: Joel Holland, Keith Holland, Troy Holland, Mary Katherine Spencer and Scott Alverson.
