In loving memory of Vicky Chavez, who departed this world on October 26, 2026. Born on April 30, 1942, in the town of Coyame, Chihuahua, Mexico, Vicky endured a hard life, facing its hardships with courage, resilience, and enduring love for her family. Vicky was the daughter of Manuel and Hermila Chavez, who instilled in her a deep sense of family and hard work ethic. Vicky's legacy is reflected in her four children, Carlos, Sylvia, Jon, and Manuel. Her strength and resilience live-on through her seven (7) grandchildren and nine (9) great-grandchildren and one (1) great great-grandchild whom she adored and cherished deeply. Though she faced the unimaginable loss of her son, Carlos, Vicky found strength in her family and her rich memories. She also has two (2) living siblings, Alma Chavez and Jesus Chavez.
Her life was a testament to her indomitable spirit, fighting and conquering life’s challenges with a grace that inspired everyone around her. Her stories will be fondly remembered, leaving those who knew her with a sense of awe and admiration for her fearless heart.
A celebration of Vicky's life will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will gather to honor a life well-lived, remembering Vicky's warmth, her laughter, and her endless love. Vicky Chavez leaves behind a legacy of love and courage that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory forever be a blessing to those she leaves behind.
