Veanka Gonzalez

Veanka Delma Gonzalez, 32, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away September 21, 2023 at University Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas.  Cremation has taken place and there will be no public services.

Veanka was born January 4, 1991 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Jason and Annabelle (Rayos) Hernandez.  She graduated from Faith Academy in 2007 with a 4.0 GPA.  Veanka attended UNM and PIMA.  After returning to Carlsbad, she began work at Presbyterian Health Clinic where she was loved by all her patients. Veanka cherished her time spent with her daughter, Jayzlynn.  She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Delma Guzman.

Survivors are her daughter, Jayzlynn Gonzalez; fiancé, Daniel Ramos; parents: Jason and Annabelle Hernandez; sisters: Venus Vigil and Vanatee Hernandez; grandparents: Alfonso and Romelia Hernandez; grandfather, Robert Melendrez; nephews: Lyrik Mills, Maliq Mills, Nolan Martinez and Naven Martinez; uncles: MIchael Nickles, Rico Melendrez, Randy Melendrez; aunts: Jennifer Hernandez, Venessa Rael and Leah Melendrez; four-legged friend, Milo Gonzalez and numerous and cousins.
