Thomas "Tom" Painter

Thomas “Tom” Painter passed away on March 3, 2024 in Carlsbad, New Mexico.  

His is survived by daughters: Karen Myers and husband, Andy, Laura Mason and husband, Steve, and son, Gregory Painter; his grandchildren: Eric Painter, Christina Myers, Crystal Myers, Brytany Keith, Candice Stacy, Destiny Mason, Cory Painter and Cassandra Painter and numerous great grandchildren; one brother, Gordon Ray Painter and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy Painter; brothers: Charles, Gary, Carl Chester, Walter & Harold Painter; sister, Jean Poggemiller. Tom married Nancy Dart September 2, 1969, in Juarez, Mexico. After graduating from high school in Springfield, IL, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served his country in Germany, Vietnam and Korea during his 20 plus years of service. Tom enjoyed cooking, gardening, wood-working and collecting antiques.

A Memorial Service will take place Friday, March 15, 2024 at Carlsbad Cemetery at 10:00am
