Stan Gooch, Jr.

Stan Gooch, Jr., 63, passed away February 24, 2026 at University Medical Center in El Paso, TX.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00PM, Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Oasis Church with Pastor Jerry Jamieson officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Stan was born on July 8, 1962 to Stanley, Sr. and Naomi (Adams) Gooch in Artesia, NM. He married Shanna Hensley on May 25, 1985 in Tatum, NM. Stan loved gold panning, riding his motorcycle and camping, but most of all he enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in their many activities. He cherished time with his family.

Stan is preceded in death by his parents and four-legged friend, Buddy.

He is survived by his wife, Shanna Gooch; son, Stan Gooch, III and wife, Lyndsey; daughter, Shae Flanigan and husband, Ernie; daughter, Skie Davis; son, Dalton Gooch and wife, Destanie; son-in-law, Levi Davis; grandchildren: McKenzie, Emilee, Drake, Delaney, Kaiden, Drew, Rilynn, Madison, Maddy, Kaleb, Carter; sister, Vera Young and husband, Choya; sisters-in-law,: Roxane Banks, Perri Lesmeister;  numerous nieces, nephews, grand-niece, grand-nephew, extended family and his long time friends, James Flowers and Jimmy Rettig.
