Shawn L. Harrel, 48, passed away June 27, 2025 at his home in Carlsbad, NM.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no public service.
Shawn was born on June 28, 1976 in Carlsbad, NM to Jackie and JoReena (Smythe) Harrel. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1994. Shawn enjoyed playing video games, watching movies and hanging out with his friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Jackie L. Harrel, brother, Johnny Harrel.
Survivors are his sons, Draven Harrel, Dustin Harrel; mother, JoReena Harrel; brother, Bobby Harrel and wife Danielle; nieces and nephews, Skyler, Ashton, Ethan and Shaelynn Harrel.
Should friends desire to make memorial contributions, they may be made to any Mental Health Charity of their choice.
