Sasha Antoinette Rueda

Sasha Antoinette Rueda, 43, of Hamilton Street Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at the University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Sasha was born on February 4, 1978, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Silvestre Rueda and Cathleen Carrasco.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, April 26, 2021, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary is scheduled for 9:30 AM Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at San Jose Catholic Church followed by Mass at 10:00 AM officiated by Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez, cremation will follow with burial in Rio Rancho, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sasha was loved dearly by her family. She was full of life, enjoyed spending quality time with her friends and family. Sasha dedicated over twenty-five years working for day cares, the last to being at Aladdin’s Castle. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Sasha was preceded in death by her mother, Cathy Carrasco; and grandmother, Margarita Carnero.

Sasha is survived by her son, Daniel Placencio of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Angelina Placencio of Carlsbad, NM; father, Silvestre Rueda and wife, Luz of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Laura Martinez Mora and husband, Raphael of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Tiana Carabajal and husband, Eric of Rio Rancho, NM; brother, Silvestre Rueda, III of Carlsbad, NM; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
