Rudy Yanez

Rudy Yanez Lujan, 33, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away September 29, 2025. Visitation is scheduled for 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM, Tuesday, October 14, 2025 followed by a vigil at 6:30 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at St. Edward Catholic Church with Fr. Pasala Hruday Kumar officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico.

Rudy was born on May 26, 1992 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Jesus Yanez and Matilde Lujan. He graduated from Loving High School in 2012. On May 26, 2015, he married Karen Jurado. On August 28, 2017, his son Axel Yanez was born – his pride and joy who he loved and enjoyed spending as much time with him. He was a great dad and husband. Rudy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed going to the sands riding his can-am. Rudy was a generous and loving person, always happy and willing to lend a helping hand. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Mauricio Israel Yslas.

Rudy is survived by his wife, Karen Jurado; son, Axel Yanez; parents: Jesus Yanez and Matilde Lujan; brothers: Reydecel Yanez, Keven Yanez; sisters: Arinda Yanez and Mittzy Yanez.

Pallbearers will be Omar Jurado, Orlando Gonzalez, Alejandro Rubio, Luis Rico, Juan Reyez, and Ruben Delgado.
