Roy was preceded in death by his mother, Blanche Verdin.
He was a proud member of the United Houma Nation and carried his heritage with honor throughout his life. He attended Patterson High School, where he met the love of his life, Anastasia “Stacy” Darce Verdin. Roy and Stacy shared 28 beautiful years of marriage built on love, loyalty, and unwavering devotion.
For 31 years, Roy dedicated his career to the oil and gas industry, serving as an HSE Specialist. He was deeply respected for his strong work ethic, leadership, and unwavering commitment to keeping others safe. His colleagues knew him as dependable, hardworking, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
Above all, Roy was a devoted husband, father, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his beloved wife, Stacy; their three sons and two daughters-in-law, O’Brien and his wife Kaylen, Cayne and his wife Sydney, and Levi; his father, Roy Verdin Sr.; his sister, Victoria Merida and her daughters Ana and Josie; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Stephanie and Scott LeBlanc and their daughter Darce; as well as several beloved pets and grandpups who were truly part of the family. His family was his greatest pride and joy, and he poured his heart into providing, guiding, and loving them unconditionally.
Roy found happiness in the simple things—spending time on the golf course, cooking meals for those he loved, and creating memories with family and friends. His laughter, strength, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be held at Twin City Funeral Home on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Morgan City, Louisiana, cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a small monetary gift would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Roy’s legacy of love, dedication, and integrity will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
