Roy Daughtry

Roy Daughtry, 73, passed away August 23, 2025 at Covenant Medical Center, Hobbs. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public services.

Roy was born September 23, 1951 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Roy and Frances (Wildman) Daughtry. He moved to New Mexico as a young boy. Roy served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He worked in the oilfield most of his life. Roy enjoyed reading and writing poetry and short stories. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters: Tera Gage and Angie Heady.

Survivors are his son, Bruce Daughtry and wife, Summer; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Bobby Blackwell; brother, Ed Hooper and numerous nieces and nephews.
