Rosemary Ogas

Rosemary Ogas, 76, of Burgandy Ave., Carlsbad, NM, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at her home. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services.

Rosemary was born May 31, 1950, in Ft. Davis, Texas to Ricardo and Susie (Martinez) Jimenez and moved to Carlsbad with her parents as a young girl. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1969. Rosemary married Gilbert Ogas. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she referred to as her “diamonds and pearls”. Rosemary enjoyed cooking, dancing, and taking care of other people. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert Ogas, Sr.; son, Gilbert Ogas, Jr., and brother, Leroy Jimenez.

Survivors are her daughter, Lorraine Ogas Benavidez and husband, Bobby; grandchildren: Gilbert Matthew Ogas, III, Jimmie Ogas and Marisha Rodriguez, Serena Galindo, Juve Reyes and Jeremiah Benavidez; great-grandchildren: Zayden, Lillianna, Akeleus, Titan, Amelia, Luna, Triniti, Kai, August, and Makai; sister, Patsy Jimenez, and numerous nieces and nephews.
