Obituary Rosa Maria Machuca Parraz, 88, of Carlsbad, passed away August 28, 2019 at Lakeview Christian Home. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Loving, followed by a vigil at 7:00 PM with Deacon Jerry Pierce officiating. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Fr. Pasala Hruday Kumar officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Rosa was born September 4, 931 in Presidio, Texas to Seferino and Felipa (Carrera) Machuca. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Santos (Tito) B. Parraz; children: Alvarado (Al) Parraz, Armondo (Mondie) Parraz, Amalio Parraz, Adelia P. Florez; grandchildren: Toby Parraz and Amalio Parraz, Jr.; brothers and sisters: Vicente Machuca, Josephina Machuca and Rita Ortega. Survivors are her children: Alfredo M. Parraz and wife, Andrea of Loving, NM, Alejandro Alex Parraz and wife, Ida of Loving, NM, Anita P. Ruiz and husband, Raul of Carlsbad, NM, Aurora Lujan of Arlington, Texas, Sonia Florez of Loving, NM and Seferino Florez and wife, Trish of Albuquerque, NM; 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; brothers: Jesus Machuca of California, Jose Machuca of Pecos, TX, Lolo Machuca of Pecos, TX, Micky Jasso of Pecos, TX and Yolanda Alvarez of Odessa, TX. Pallbearers will be Raul S. Ruiz, Bobby Parraz, Jr., Alex Parraz, Jr., Andrew Parraz, Chris Florez, Jr., Seferino Florez, Rick Lujan, Abel Lujan, Jr. and Armando Parraz, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are her great-grandchildren.
