Richard McKinney, 74, of Elmdale Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015 at Lakeview Christian Home. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public services. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Richard McKinney was born August 28, 1940 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Calvin and Helen (Richards) McKinney. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Michelle Craft and two brothers. Survivors are his wife, Mary McKinney of Carlsbad, NM; children: Heath McKinney of Austin, TX, Leon McKinney of Dallas, TX, Jennifer Melvin of Argyle, TX, Brett Craft of San Jose, California; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson and mother-in-law, Louise Keen.
