Raymond V. Neuman, 85, a 24-year resident of Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away on January 20, 2025 at Carlsbad Medical Center.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint, 1708 N. Mesa St. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Raymond was born to Raymond E. and Velda (Landcaster) Neuman April 5, 1939 in Napa, California. He graduated from the University of the Pacific with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry as he always had a love of chemistry. Raymond married Jeanne Marie Sharp and they were married 35 years at the time of her death in 2008. He worked in various industries throughout his life ranging from petrochemical to nuclear. Raymond’s working career included the US Army Corps of Engineers and Waste Isolation Pilot Plant where he retired in 2011. He was active in church work, serving wherever possible. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jeanne Neuman. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey G. Neuman of Carlsbad, New Mexico.
