Pat was born April 17, 1948 in Belen, NM and was raised by her grandparents, Christine and Thomas Kee. She attended numerous schools including Holbrook School and Snowflake School in Arizona, and Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, Oklahoma, where she had to ride a bus since there were no schools on the Reservation. Pat never met a stranger. She welcomed everyone with open arms and made sure no one ever left her home with an empty stomach.
