Paul Hoffman

With sorrow we announce the passing of Paul Hoffman.

A service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Oasis Church, Carlsbad, NM with Pastor, Gabe Rubio.

Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Viola Hoffman; father-in-law Jim Bolling; mother-in-law Marlene Bolling; brothers-in-law, David Bolling and Michael Bolling; sister-in-law, Carol Allen.

Paul is survived by his wife Debra Hoffman; his brother, Fred Hoffman and spouse Maureen Hoffman; son, Jason Hoffman and spouse Amber Hoffman; daughter, Julie Nelson and spouse Kurt Nelson; his grandchildren, Alyssa Sonner and spouse Greg Sonner, Sadie Hoffman, Finn Nelson and Spouse Arissa Nelson, Liam Nelson, and Emma Nelson; his one year old great-grandson, Jacob Sonner; his brothers-in-law Robert Bolling, Joseph Bolling, Steven Bolling and spouse Freda Bolling, and Tim Allen.

A loving husband and father, Paul worked most of his life as an industrial hygienist. Retired in 2019, he was employed by WIPP for many years and finished his career life working abroad for various federal government contractors. His life’s true passions were fueled by his faith and hope in Jesus Christ in various Christian ministries, primarily helping young men pursue excellence in Royal Rangers. Paul took great joy in the Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship, a subset of the Royal Rangers program that delves into period-authentic skills, crafts, and history from the era of the mountain man. He loved the smell of black powder in the morning. Paul had many other hobbies and interests, most of which involved enjoying God’s creation in the outdoors.

He would never miss an opportunity for a good pun or show tune. With sadness he will be missed by his friends and family, but only for a time. Paul left behind a legacy of faith and hope in Christ that is unbreakable, unchangeable, and for forever.
