Patsy Evans

Patsy Evans, 88, passed away September 5, 2023 at University Medical Center, Lubbock, TX.  Cremation has taken place, and there will be no public services.

Patsy was born in Coleman, Texas to Ray and Fanny Mae (Akins) Acrey.  After graduating from high school, she began working in fashion and merchandizing. Patsy worked for Sweetbriar Fashion over 30 years before retiring.  During her career, she oversaw 232 retail stores in the western United States.  Patsy moved to Carlsbad in 2004 to be closer to family.  She loved reading and visiting the library often and enjoyed spending time with her relatives, son and grandsons.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alan Evans; brothers, Ace, Jack, Glen and Bill Acrey and sister, Carrie Purtle. Survivors are her son, Mark Evans and wife Renee; grandsons Hunter Evans, Hayden Evans, and Hyatt Evans; brothers, Raymond and Robert Acrey and several nieces and nephews.
