Norma A. Beeman

Norma A. Beeman, 81, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Norma was born on July 28, 1941, in Durant, OK to Alton and Edith Smith.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Clay Carlson officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Gardens Memorial Park in Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Norma was a strong, hardworking woman who was a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Norma was preceded in death by her father, Alton A. Smith; mother, Edith M. (Ash) Smith; husband, Charles “Mike” Beeman; grandson, Michael Duncan; and brother, Ronny Smith.

Norma is survived by her three daughters: Linda Marie Melton and husband, Billy of Malaga, NM; Pamela Gay Brown and husband, LeRoy of Coweta, OK; and Brandy Beeman of Carlsbad, NM; four grandchildren: James Melton, Angela Jarratt (James), Kristin Sanders (Matt), and Ashley Day; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three siblings: Linda Amos and husband, Jim of Carlsbad, NM; Claudia Stapleton and husband, Mike of Shawnee, OK; and Ricky Smith of Carlsbad, NM; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Casey Jarratt, Rylee Jarratt, Parker Jarratt, Ricky Smith, Billy Melton and Leroy Brown.
