Nancy Laverne Crabb

Nancy Laverne Crabb, 67 of Carlsbad, NM, passed away Thursday, April 9th, 2026 at her home in Carlsbad, NM. 

Cremation has taken place. 

Nancy was born July 15, 1958 in Carlsbad, NM to Charles Lee and Alma Laverne Crabb. Nancy grew up in Carlsbad and graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1976. Nancy lived in Texas and Arizona, finally settling in Carlsbad where she worked for the Carlsbad Medical Center and later, the Eddy County Detention Center. Nancy was a fighter all her life until she left this earth. Her last fight is such an amazing show of bravery and determination. Everyone who watched it unfold will be forever inspired. Nancy was also an avid dog lover and had her share of "fur babies" through the years. And lastly, Nancy was a dedicated and loving daughter, sister, and mother.

 Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alma Crabb and her brother, Curtis Crabb.

 She is survived by her son, Brian McClane; daughter, Jamie Wortley (Adam); grandsons: Justin McClane, Kayden Pinson, and Kase McClane; sisters: Barbara Robillard (David), Kellie Leach (Russell), Claudia Estrada-Hickman (Bill) and brother, Eric Crabb.

 In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Noah's Ark or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
