Monique Lynn Onsurez

Monique Lynn Onsurez, 31, of Caballo Rd., Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away May 28, 2010 at Covenent Women's & Childrens Hospital - Lubbock. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A vigil is scheduled for Wednesday, June 2, 2010, 7:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, June 3, 2010, 3:00 PM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Loving, NM with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Monique Lynn Lopez Onsurez was born on July 5, 1978 in Lajunta, Colorado to Ygnacio and Joann (Archuleta) Lopez. She lived in Rocky Ford, Colorado attending school there and graduated from Rocky Ford High School in 1996. Later that year she moved to Loving, New Mexico, working at Food Jet both north and south side, also worked at Wal-Mart. In 1997 she met and married her husband Daniel Onsurez. Her hobbies included baking, arts and crafts and sewing. Monique was a loving wife and mother devoted to her kids, family and friends. She was proceded in death by daughter; Elizabeth Onsurez, aunt; Betty Ensor and nephew Justin Navarro. Survivors include husband Daniel O. Onsurez; children; Madisyn and Donevan Onsurez; Mom & Dad: Ygnacio and Joann Lopez; sister; Christine and Dontae Lopez; parent's-in-law Rosa and Dennis Onsurez; extended family members; Danny Onsurez, Christina Peters; Dominick Onsurez, Demetrius Onsurez and numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Robert Lopez, Raul Onsurez, Jose Bautista, Dominick Onsurez, Jana Onsurez and Janell Onsurez; Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
