Mildred Frances (Wright) Bradley passed away surrounded by her family on November 9, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on April 25, 1931 in Henrietta, Texas, she was the daughter of Raymon and Augusta Wright. She would spend her childhood and young adulthood in Texas making lovely memories with her parents and older sister before marrying Sam Bradley and relocating to Carlsbad, where they would spend over 50 years together making a life for themselves and their family.
Mildred and Sam were lifelong members of Hillcrest Baptist Church, and it was here that she found strength in her faith and happiness in the moments she dedicated to the congregation. Whatever the church needed, they answered the call together, with smiles upon both of their faces. Their family always knew if they couldn't be found at home, they just needed to make the short drive up the road to the church and there they would be. Mildred was truly her happiest when offering her time and services to God.
She is survived by her sister, Ruby Biggs; sons, Dale Bradley and his partner, Mary, and Larry Bradley and his wife, Gwenette; her grandchildren, Stephanie Eager, Tessa Bradley, Raeanne Bradley, and Cody Woodward; and four loving great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymon and Augusta Wright; her devoted husband, Sam Bradley; and her daughter, Gaila Woodward.
Mildred's legacy of faith and dedication to the Lord will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Friday, November 15, 2024 at Carlsbad Cemetery with Chaplain Terry McKean officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mildred's memory to a church or charity of your choice.
