Mike Lujan

Mike Lujan, 69, of Loving, NM, passed away August 31, 2025 at his home. Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM, Friday, September 5, 2025 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, NM.

Mike was born May 8, 1956 in Loving, NM to Adon and Carmen (Mendoza) Lujan. After graduating, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Mike married Linda Granger February 14, 1979 here in Carlsbad. They moved to Loving shortly after getting married where they raised their family. Mike worked for United Salt several years before going to work in the potash mines. He worked for Mosaic until retiring. Mike enjoyed fishing and gardening. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews in the early years and later thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Lujan; son, Phillip Lujan; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Survivors are his sons: David Lujan and Cory, Joshua Lujan and wife, Amanda; daughter, Valerie Orozco and husband, Ivan; grandchildren: D.J., Jaylene, Justine, Bella, Mona, Ava, and Mila; brother, Abel Lujan and Ernestina; sisters: Margie Madrid, Thelma Lujan, and Sandra Lujan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Adolfo Alvarez, Samuel Lujan, William Alicea, Jacob Rodriguez, Lucio Meza, Iván Orozco, Ruben Granado and Bill Eaton.
