Obituary Max Mata, 63, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2020. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Max Mata was born October 19, 1956 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Maximiliano and Maria (Garcia) Mata. He enjoyed singing and was often heard singing his favorite tune of the day. Max loved his family and friends and never turned down the opportuning to be with them. Max was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Lydia Baeza, Helen Acosta and Felipa Mendoza; brothers: Ismael Mata; Willie Mata: Joe Mata and Robert Mata. Survivors are daughters; Deanna Mata and Lionel Franco; Angela Mata and Bonnie Dae; grandchildren: Virginia, Josephine, Jessica, Andrew, Anna, Ammarie and Ramon, Jr.; 3 great grandchildren; sisters: Eloisa Galvan, Carol Lujan, Andrea Gomez, Dora Mata and numerous nieces and nephews.
