Mary Pat Jackson, 86, of Elgin Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Lakeview Christian Home.  Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.  A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Carlsbad Cemetery with Angie Weisner officiating. 

Mary Pat Jackson was born July 7, 1937 in Hatch, NM to Sam and Anne (Poole) Monroe.  She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1955.  Mary Pat married Lewis Jackson, Jr. on June 30, 1955 here in Carlsbad.  She worked as an administrative assistant for Dick Blenden, Desert Mechanical and Von Burba.  Mary Pat enjoyed crocheting, reading and playing Bridge.  She was a member of ACBL Bridge Life Masters and a longtime member of Blodgett Street Baptist Church.  Mary Pat cherished her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lewis V. Jackson; son, Stephen L. Jackson; son-in-law, John L. Skinner; two sisters and one brother.

Survivors are her daughters: Pam Titus and husband, Don, Frances McCoy and husband, Glen, and Cindy Earnest and husband, Albert; grandchildren: Collette Barnes, Chrissy Stokes, Amy Saldivar, Matthew Earnest, Courtney Earnest, Jennifer Tupper, Randi Rich, Kim Skinner Hammans and Joshua Skinner; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Josh Skinner, Don Titus, Glen McCoy, Sam Tupper, Austin McCoy, and Joshua Hammans.
