Mary Tidwell Bell

Mary Tidwell Bell, 83, of Hamilton Place, Carlsbad, NM, passed away April 29, 2025 at University Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas. Cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel.

Mary was born December 29, 1941 to Claude and Lizzie (Baker) Bradley. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1961. Mary worked at Phillips Cowboy Shop for many years and later at Anne’s Cards and Gifts until retiring. She enjoyed ceramic painting, macramé, shopping, and gardening. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John W. Bell; son, Kelly Tidwell; brother, Ray Bradley; sisters: Lee Britain and Lavern Zapkus.

Survivors are her daughter, Shauna Tidwell White; grandchildren: Cody Scobbee and fiancé, Christina Goforth, Kristopher White; great-grandchildren: Kristopher Scobbee, Jeremiah Scobbee, and Rayn Scobbee; nephew, Randy Britain; niece, Cheryl Mullins and husband, Terry.
