Martin Q. Martinez

Martin Q. Martinez, 64, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away July 21, 2025 at Lakeview Christian Home. Cremation has taken place and private family services will take place at a later date.

Martin was born July 31, 1960 in Carlsbad, NM to Jesus and Dorotea (Quintana) Martinez. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1978 where he played the trumpet in the band. Martin was a talented musician playing in several bands over the years. He lived in Las Vegas, NV a number of years before returning to Carlsbad in 2008. Martin was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his daughter, Dominique Martinez; grandchildren: Bentley Urquidez, Londynn Urquidez, Brody Balderrama; and aunt, Angie Bennett.
