Martin de Carlos Herrera-Leon, infant, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 at Dallas Children's Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Friday, September 4, 2015 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2015, 10:30 AM, at Carlsbad Cemetery with Don Lankford officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Martin de Carlos Herrera-Leon was born May 19, 2015 in Lubbock, Texas to Jorge C. Herrera-Leon and Josephine Tatum. During his short time on earth he was a fighter during his illness and always had a big smile on his face. Survivors are his parents, Jorge C. Herrera-Leon and Josephine Tatum; siblings: Joseph Tatum, Arlenes Herrera, Avanti Herrera, Courtney Tatum, Savannah Tatum, Josiah Tatum, Jorgie Herrera, Jr., Estrella Herrera, Raina Tatum; nephew, Joseph Tatum, Jr.; niece, Jaylyn Tatum; grandmother, Amparo Leon and numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
