Marilyn Gillock

Marilyn Gillock, 74, of Westernway Street, Carlsbad NM passed away December 30, 2022 at Las Palmas Medical Center, El Paso, Texas. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Tarvin officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Marilyn Gillock was born December 16, 1948 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Walter and Lou Etta (Allen) McDonald. She lived most of her life in Oklahoma. Shortly after moving to New Mexico, she met Bill Gillock at a dance and they were married December 6, 2013. They absolutely cherished their time together dancing, traveling, fishing and playing cards.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Timmy and Steve Holt; brother, Randy McDonald and sister, Margaret Brewer.

Survivors are her husband, Bill Gillock; Children, Melva Hale and husband, Sid, Geraldine Jones and husband, Randy, Joel Holt, Eddie Holt and wife, Tracy; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
