Maria was born and raised in Loving, where she built a life filled with laughter, family, and faith. She was known for her kind heart, her radiant smile, and her unforgettable sense of humor. Maria could make anyone laugh. And even in the toughest moments, she had a way of bringing joy and light to everyone around her. Her presence alone could turn an ordinary day into unforgettable moments.
She found happiness in life’s simplest pleasures like taking pictures with her family, Sunday breakfast, spending time with her beloved dog Molly, and going cruising while enjoying good music with even better company. It didn’t matter where she was going or who she was with, Mary loved Road Trips. There was never a dull moment if Mary was in your car. To her, family wasn’t just important it was everything. She enjoyed cooking late night pancakes and quesadillas. She always made sure you never left the house hungry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frederico and Dolores Lara, her sisters Rita Lara and Amelia Lara, and her brothers Manuel, Guadalupe, Antonio, and Mauro Lara. Her sisters in law Maria and Oralia Lara.
Maria is survived by her siblings: Francisca Hernandez (Sotero Gutierrez); Andrea Parraz (Alfredo); Frederico Lara (Elena); Rosario Lara; Margarito Lara (Patricia); Epolito Lara; and Raquel Lara. Her brother-in-law Cornelio Ferretez and sister-in-law Virginia Lara. She will forever be remembered and missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who loved her deeply.
Maria’s beautiful spirit, contagious laughter, and endless love for her family will never be forgotten. Though her time on Earth has ended, her memory lives on in every smile she inspired and every heart she touched.
