Maria Angelica Buendia

Maria Angelica Buendia, 89, was peacefully taken by God at her home in Midland, Texas on April 23, 2024.  She was a true believer and follower of the Lord and she loved to pray the Rosary.  Angelica enjoyed watering her many trees, and watching Mountain Men, Curse of the Oak Island, Gunsmoke and Caso Cerrado on Television. She made many friends through her life. She married Adolfo R. Buendia on September 6, 1967 and their union created seven children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolfo Buendia; father, Jose Rojo; mother, Catalina Rincon; sisters: Isabel, Ester, Esperanza, and Guadalupe, and her only brother, Miguel.

Maria is survived by her children. Jose Adolfo Buendia, Miguel Buendia (Enedina), Angelica Henry (Troy), David Lee Buendia, Cecilia Buendia, Raul Buendia, Jorge “George” Buendia (Corena). Numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren and friends.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Midland, Texas. They did a tremendous job. You are too many to name but you know who you are.Angelica will be greatly missed, never forgotten, and forever loved.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday, April 29, 2024 in Carlsbad, New Mexico at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM, Monday April 29, 2024 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at San Jose Catholic Church with. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.  Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers Herminio Buendia, Jose Adolfo Buendia, Miguel Buendia, Ronnie Buendia, Samuel Buendia, Deiante Juarez. Honorary Pallbearers Ah-Zyiah Munoz.
