Lowell "Don" Ellis

Lowell “Don” Ellis, Jr., 61, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away November 9, 2023 here in Carlsbad. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Tarvin officiating. Private interment will take place in Hope, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Don was born May 12, 1962 in Carlsbad, NM to Don and Tommie (Donaghe) Ellis. He worked as a welder most of this career, most recently for URS. Don was a long time member of the BPO Elks, Lodge 1558. He enjoyed fishing. Don was preceded in death by his parents and son, Tyler Ellis.

Survivors are his sons, Thomas Ellis and wife Candice, Daniel Ellis, Dustin Ellis and wife Ashleigh; grandchildren, Cadence Pulice, Casey Ellis, Gaige Ellis, Gavin Ellis, Kutler Ellis, James Tyler Ellis, Bayleigh Ellis, Whitleigh Ellis, Kynadee Ellis; brother, Andrew Scott; sisters, Jean Dimmett and husband Steve, Merinda Jackson, Tammie McCullough, Cindie Lentz and husband Gary and numerous nieces and nephews.
