Loretta "Terri" Arlene Bland

Loretta “Terri” Arlene Bland, 68, of Solana Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away May 17, 2023 at Desert Spring Health Care, Hobbs, NM.

Cremation will take place and a memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Oasis Church with Angie Weisner officiating. 

Loretta was born June 19, 1954 in Yakima, Washington to Thomas and Gerda (Both) Jackson.  She graduated from Clovis High School in 1972.  Loretta married Gregory Allen Bland June 9, 1973 in Alamogordo, NM.  They moved to Carlsbad in 1982.  Loretta worked for the City of Carlsbad as a clerk for the transit department.  She loved being with her family and enjoyed reading, watching movies, and traveling.  Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Gerda Jackson.

Survivors are her husband, Gregory “Greg” A. Bland; daughter, Heidi Michele Mercado and husband, Richard; son, Matthew Allen Bland and wife, Joann; daughter, Tammi Lee Frakes; grandchildren: Noah, Brenna, Ezra, Emory, Clayton, Kendal, and Liam; sisters: Linda Jackson and Iris Essig and numerous nieces and nephews.
