Lorene Webb

Lorene Webb, 85, was born Gracie Lorene Petitt in Vernon, Wilbarger County, Texas to Walter and Myrtie Petitt. She married C.W. "Buck" Webb in Lubbock Texas in 1946. They lived in Dallas, Texas until they moved to Carlsbad in 1953. Lorene owned and operated the What-A-Burger until she was seventy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years and her son, Charles Webb. She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Mary Sutphen of Carlsbad and Koni and Dan Bosch of Las Cruces; her brothers, Walter Petitt and Delbert Petitt of Vernon, Texas; her grandchildren, Chuck Webb, USAF, Stephanie Hadwen, USAF, Karrie Piper of Flower Mound, Texas, Tracy Doubrava of Aurora, Colorado, and Sarah Hjeltness-Garley of Rochester, Illinois; and her great-grandchildren Samantha, Sydney, Lauren, Megan, Hannah, Noah, Emily, Haley, and Ashley. Lorene enjoyed swimming with her Pool Pals and playing cards with her weekly ladies card group. She cherished all the people at Lakeview Christian Village. Services will be held at Denton-Wood Funeral Home at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 26, 2009 with Mike Veilleux officiating. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
