Lora Garcia

Lora Garcia, 45, passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2026. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery.

Born in Carlsbad, New Mexico, Lora lived a life centered around love, family, and kindness. She had a passion for cooking and a remarkable creative spirit, always finding ways to make something beautiful or bring people together. Lora’s love was the kind that made people feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. She gave so much of herself to the people she loved, and her presence brought comfort to those around her. While she enjoyed many things, nothing brought her more happiness than being with her children.

Lora is survived by her four beloved children: Jocelyn Garcia, Devin Minner, Chloee Young, and Patience Renfro. She is also survived by her loving mother, Norma Hill; her siblings, Anna Garcia, Ruben Garcia, and Robert Garcia; and her two cherished grandchildren, Devin Minner Jr. and Janiyah Minner. Along with many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a family who will love her for the rest of their lives and miss her for the rest of ours. She was so deeply loved, and she always will be.
