Lisa Marie Thompson

Lisa Marie Thompson, 46, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Lisa was born on February 22, 1976, in Carlsbad, NM to Dale Thompson and Vicki Hayes.

There will be no visitation, and cremation has taken place. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, May 2, 2022, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home with Mike Veilleux. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lisa was raised in Carlsbad, NM where she graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1994. In her younger years she loved to play softball, going to Billy Grandi Dances, and working hard to help her family.  She was very motivated and could do anything she set her mind to. She loved being around her family and friends throughout her entire life. There was never a dull moment when she was around. Lisa always had a way of lighting up a room with her smile and laughter. She had a huge heart and never hesitated to be there for anyone when they needed her. She loved her animals like no other and spoiled them as if they were her own children. She enjoyed being outdoors in the country looking for rocks and being adventurous. Nothing could stop her from being outdoors hunting, fishing, etc. Lisa was happy to become a grandmother. She adored and loved her new grandson Trustin. 

She is preceded in death by her father Dale Thompson, and her grandmother Imagene Rulie (Big Mama). 

She is survived by her mother Vicki Hayes and husband Rick of Carlsbad, NM. Along with her sister Laura Smith of San Diego, CA, brother Dale Thompson JR of Cleveland, OH, brother Aaron Lewis of Carlsbad, NM, sister Virginia Hayes of Carlsbad, NM, brother Jessie Thompson of Carlsbad, NM, sister Lacey Thompson of Carlsbad, NM, and brother Dakota Thompson of Carlsbad, NM. As well as her children, son Dalton Ty Barnes of Carlsbad, NM, and daughter Rhyanna Lee Wilson of Carlsbad, NM, and one grandson Trustin Ellis Wilson of Carlsbad, NM.
