Lillie Faye Scoggins, 81, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Carlsbad Medical Center. Lillie was born on July 31, 1942, in Durant, OK to Clyde and Lillie Snider.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 PM through 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 5:00 PM, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald McDuff officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK.  Honorary pallbearers are Jim Burt, Kyle McKnight, Derrick McKnight, Justin McKnight, Billy R. Smith, and Darrel R. Smith.

Many of her friends and family knew her best as Faye or Grandma. She played basketball in junior high school. She was a hard worker and retired from McKesson in 2001. She enjoyed being at the lake with family, square dancing, camping, bingo, going to casino and playing solitaire on the computer. She loved her dog Sisi. She loved her kids more than anything. Her grandchildren and great granddaughter held a very special place in her heart. She was loved so much by her many friends and her family and will be missed tremendously.

Lillie was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Eugene Snider; mother, Lillie Mae (Howie) Snider; husbands, Billy R. Smith, Rusty Carr, and Doug Scoggins; and son, Darrel Smith.

Lillie is survived by her daughter, Debbie Burt and husband, James of Carlsbad, NM; four grandchildren: Jimaye McKnight, James Burt (Courtney), Billy Ray Smith (Lindsey), and Darrel Ray Smith (Lauren); nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
