Les Warren

Leslie Eugene Warren, 71, of Lubbock, TX passed from this world on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

Visitation is scheduled for 5:00PM-7:00PM, Friday, January 31, 2025 at Denton Wood Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Carlsbad Cemetery at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 1, 2025. 

Les was born on November 26, 1953 in Annapolis, MD to Ted and Freddie Warren. He was raised in Carlsbad, NM and Mountain Grove, MO and graduated from Mansfield High School in Mansfield, MO. After graduation, Les then attended Denver Automotive and became a certified automotive mechanic. After graduation, he moved to Carlsbad, NM to work in the Potash Mines. Les married the love of his life, Alice Jean Ballard on December 2, 1976. They welcomed two daughters into the world who promptly wrapped him around their little fingers. Les was known for always stopping to help stranded motorists when their vehicles broke down. He was loved by many.

Les was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Freddie Warren, as well as his brother, Tom.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Alice Warren of Lubbock, TX; daughters, Kari Cox and husband, Matt of Queen, NM; Lindsey Dihenia and husband, Bhupesh of Lubbock, TX; grandchildren: Tristan Cox, Aubrey Cox, and Riley Cox of Queen, NM, Nikhil and Sajan Dihenia of Lubbock, TX. Les is also survived by his brother Randy Warren and wife Debbie of Carlsbad, NM; sisters Linda Harris and husband Johny of Carlsbad, NM; Kathy McCrory and husband Bill of Poteau, OK; numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Duke Alvin Dihenia (a.k.a Dad).

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, support, and love.
