Leon “Moe” McGee passed away peacefully at his home on Oct 3, 2021. He moved to New Mexico in 2019 and lived most of his life in California. He was born on June 4, 1958 to Sherwood “Mac” McGee and Margarete Uhrig in El Paso Texas. He was born in a military family and lived in Germany & France as well several states in the US.

His mother was German and he loved to cook meals from his German heritage. He loved to cook and entertain and never met a stranger. He had a larger than life personality and always the life of a party. He enjoyed playing poker with his family and friends, golfing and smoking a stogie to unwind and relax. He had his own business in California selling crane and motor parts for the shipping industry in Long Beach and San Pedro. He always put his family first, he was an awesome father to his children and all their friends, he loved cooking for them and helping them any time they were in need. He was a loving husband and great family man.

He was preceded in death by his father Sherwood & Margarete McGee, Nephew Thomas Patrick McGee.

Survivors are his wife Julie Aaron McGee, Son Connor McGee and wife Andrea, daughter Lexi McGee, Grandson Jasper McGee, Brother Thomas McGee and wife Sylvia, Brother Steven McGee, wife Michele and Sister Elke Garcia, Husband Joe. Nephew Corey McGee and wife Jessie and 3 children Ava, Jackson & Sadie. Niece Melissa, husband Vinny Berry, Niece Laura & Husband Justin Schulte, children James & Asher. He also is survived by his Aunt Helen Eisle, cousins Sabine & Thomas Eisle from Germany.

Services will be at Denton-Wood Funeral Home on October 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Services will be live-streamed.
