LaVerne Harris

LaVerne Ruth Harris, 73, of East Blodgett Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at her home. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2013, 10:00 AM, at Paradise Ranch Church with Pastor D. Michael Lee officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. LaVerne Ruth Harris was born August 31, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois to Martin and Ruth (Donahue) Haynes. She married Ludalph Edward Harris on August 12, 1980 in Chicago, Illinois. LaVerne worked as a supervisor for Carson Perry Scott Distributing Center for 15 years. She was the most kind and loving person you could ever meet. Her gentle soul and kind spirit will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and three sisters. Survivors are her husband, Ludalph "Lou" Harris of Carlsbad, NM; two daughters: Eileen Lowrey of Carlsbad, NM, Constance Ware of Peoria, IL; son, Gerald Aguilar of Peoria, IL; step-children: Anna Marie Sues of Frankfort, IL, Margaret Renee King of Carlsbad, NM, Joanne Louridas of Tinley Park, IL, Michael Joseph Harris of Chicago, IL, Theodore Charles Harris of Chicago, IL; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and sister, Evelyn Styx of Orland Park, IL.
