Laurie Joe Kincaid

Laurie Joe Kincaid, 84, of Chinaberry Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026, at his home. Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Due to limited space and rough terrain, burial will be private.

Laurie was born March 12, 1942, in Carlsbad, NM, to Noel and Lucille (Cox) Kincaid. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandsons: Shane Kincaid and EJ Kincaid.

Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Nina Kincaid; daughter, Robin Kincaid; great-grandson, Sam Bam Barnes; sister, Frieda Powers and husband, Mike; brother, Jack Kincaid and wife, Jo; two nieces and two nephews.

Laurie said, “I don’t want a long service or a long obituary because it just don’t make a damn.”
