Obituary Kenneth Keith Wade (KK), born April 16, 1934 in Loving N.M. to Ed and CoraLee Wade, went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2020. Kenneth served In the United States Army and Army Reserves for 8 years, where he played trumpet in the band and served as a military policeman. In 1966, he married the love of his life, Lonna Porter. He loved to hunt and fish, break and ride horses, and spend time with his family. He worked many years in the potash mines around Carlsbad including PCA, Eddy, and Mississippi Potash. He went on to own and operate the Carlsbad Laundry for over 30 years with his wife, where he made many friends. Kenneth loved playing with his grandkids and eventually his great grandkids. He also spent his time reading every Louis LAmour book he could acquire. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Hazel Koepke, his brother Jack Cantrell, His daughter Tina Sales, and his granddaughter Christal Sales. He is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Lonna Wade, son Keith Wade and wife Ray of Texas, daughter Cynthia Scott of Texas, and Daughter Lynn Stafford and partner Jimmy Hood of Carlsbad. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Brant Peterson, Ashley Hayes and husband Jason, and Kimberly Stafford as well as great grandchildren, Austin Jennings, Dakota Peterson, Chrisani Stafford, Halynn Stafford, Logan Hayes, Ashlynn Hayes, and Alonna Jacks. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 10:00 am at Happy Valley Baptist Church. Please send flowers to 213 S.
