Kathy McCarroll

Katherine Renett McCaroll, 69, passed away on June 6, 2026 at her home in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public service.

Katherine was born on December 28, 1956 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to John Ramiro Morales and Dora (Vigil) Morales. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1974. Kathy earned an associate’s degree from NMSU – Carlsbad. She worked at JCPenney’s for many years. Later working at Valor Telecommunication, Carlsbad Current-Argus, Jeff Diamond Law Firm and most recently, Southeast Podiatry. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family, loved her animals, and was a talented cake decorator. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramiro and Dora Morales.

Katherine is survived by her daughter, Heather Rich and husband, Lyle; grandchildren: Xavier Sanchez, Angel Sanchez, Angelique Mata, Kayden Rich, Chase Rich; brother, Ralph Morales and several nieces and nephews.
