Juan "Johnny" Martinez, Jr.

Juan “Johnny” Martinez, Jr., 64, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the Carlsbad Medical Center. Johnny was born on August 29, 1959, in Carlsbad, NM to Juan and Gloria.

Cremation has taken place, and private services will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at the Carlsbad Cemetery in Carlsbad, NM.

Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Quinones; and his brother, Francisco Martinez.

Johnny is survived by his two children: Veronica Vasquez of Socorro, NM; and Derrick Martinez of Loving, NM; two grandchildren: Kaiah Cumpian and Daniel Vasquez; father, Juan Martinez, Sr. of Carlsbad, NM; three siblings: Eddy Martinez (Sylvia) of Carlsbad, NM; Sylvia De Los Santos (Rudy Catano) of Carlsbad, NM; and Linda Ontiveros of Hobbs, NM.
