Joshua M. Miller

Joshua Maurice Miller, 37, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away September 25, 2025. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, October 3, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor R. L. Smith, Jr. officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Joshua was born on March 28, 1988, in Carlsbad, NM. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 2005. Joshua went to college in Hobbs and Idaho and moved back to Carlsbad in 2010. He began his career at WIPP in 2013 and in 2023 joined the Fabrication Crew. He enjoyed playing softball and basketball, watching football, loved the 49ers, Longhorns, Braves, the Bulls and spending time with family and friends. He was the life of the party, always making jokes and being silly. He loved dancing and singing karaoke. He devoted his life to his family and being with his nieces and nephews. Joshua was an amazing son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed. Josh was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lula Mae Miller; grandfather, Chester Miller; grandmother, Josefina Martinez; grandfather, Manuel Martinez; stepfather, Rosendo Fuentes.

Survivors are his parents: Kevin Miller and Corina Fuentes; siblings: Anne Marie Cordova, Eric Cordova and his wife, Dezerae Cordova, and Andra Miller; nieces and nephews: Idalis, Stefan, Cori, Tyler and Ariyah Cordova; Uncle and Aunts: Yolanda Miller, Janet Huff, Marcus and Michelle Miller, Belen and Cecil Lujan, Alicia and Wayne Stensrud, Favi Martinez, and Belinda Colorado and numerous cousins.

Honorary pallbearers are Verl LeFlore, Nick Miller, Justin Huff, J.C Huff, Oscar Colorado, Ivan Colorado, Stefan Cordova, Tyler Cordova, and Andra Miller.

The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out to the family. We appreciate the texts, calls, food, and everything. And a huge thank you to Ashley Lujan for always loving our guy unconditionally.
