Johnny L. Gutierrez, 39, of South Walnut Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away August 11, 2009 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Vigil is scheduled for Sunday, August 16, 2009, 7:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Monday, August 17, 2009, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Johnny L. Gutierrez was born December 13, 1969 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Augustine and Sally (Lujan) Gutierrez. He enjoyed working on cars and was always full of life. He was preceded in death by his father, Augustine Gutierrez; brother, Jesse Gutierrez and sister, Debbie Gutierrez. Survivors are his wife Daisy Gutierrez of Albuquerque, NM; four children: Alexis Gutierrez, of Albuquerque, NM, Jeffrey Gutierrez of Albuquerque, NM, Johnny Ray Gutierrez of Carlsbad, NM, Gaselle Gutierrez of Carlsbad, NM; three grandchildren Justine Rodriquez of Carlsbad, NM, Elsea Gutierrez of Carlsbad, NM, and Jaydance Gutierrez of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Sally Gutierrez of Carlsbad, NM, two sisters, Diane Rubio of Santa Fe, NM and Helen Jacquez of Artesia, NM; three nephews Jose Gonzales of Carlsbad, NM, Lando Gonzales of Carlsbad, NM and Thomas Gonzales of Carlsbad, NM; one niece: Valerie Gonzales of Carlsbad, NM and one uncle: David Lujan of Carlsbad, NM.
