Obituary Johnie Lee Culpepper, 66, of West Cherry Lane Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Johnie was born on May 28, 1954 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Johnie R. and Evelyn L. Culpepper. Cremation has taken place, and there will be services held at a later date. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Johnie was loved by everyone. He had the kindest loving heart, and always made friends wherever he would go. Johnie enjoyed riding his three-wheel bicycle, going places with his friends, horses, listening to county music, and he was always laughing and smiling. He lived at the CARC Farm for 35 years, and left a lasting legacy there. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Johnie was preceded in death by his father, Johnie R. Culpepper; and mother, Evelyn L. Culpepper. Johnie is survived by his sister, Jackie Vaughn of Elephant Butte, NM; niece Tammy Berry and husband, Danny of Roswell, NM; nephew, Jody Briggs and wife, Lennie Gray of Austin, TX; seven nieces and nephews; and seven great nieces and nephews.
