Joe R. Perez

José “Joe” Perez, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Carlsbad Medical Center.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Fox & Lake Church of Christ with Rick McKean officiating. Interment will follow in Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Joe married Mickey Pineda on February 22, 1955. Joe worked at Ft. Stanton in the early years. After returning to Carlsbad, he worked as a mason in the construction business.

Joe is survived by his daughters, Olga Ingram, Michelle Aguilar and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Joseph Perez, Kathy Campbell, George Perez, Shawn Ingram, Jonathan Granger, Peanut Granger, Xander Elizondo and wife, Reigan Snow; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Perez, Sonny Perez; sisters, Linda Martinez, Rosemary Perez, Veronica Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mickey Perez, daughters, Rosalinda Perez and Lorena Perez, grandson, Shawn Ingram, brothers, Vicente Perez, Paul Perez, Lucio Perez, Carlos Perez.
